Code of Conduct EVERYPLACE (LAW 1336 OF 2009)

In accordance with Article 17 of Law 679/2001 and Law 1329 of July 17, 2009, EVERYPLACE S.A.S. informs guests, clients, and suppliers that the exploitation and sexual abuse of minors in Colombia are penalized both criminally and administratively, according to current laws. Our employees are required to implement the minimum control measures established in the Code of Conduct.

To combat the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESCNNA) in accommodations operated by EVERYPLACE S.A.S., we have adopted this Code of Conduct. After being reviewed by all the establishment’s staff, the obligations outlined in Articles 16 and 17 of Law 679 of 2001 are put into effect, along with measures to prevent behaviors described in Article 19 of the same law. The following minimum control measures are also incorporated:

  1. Refrain from offering, either explicitly or implicitly, ESCNNA plans in tourism promotion programs and tourist plans.
  2. Refrain from providing information to tourists, directly or indirectly, about places where ESCNNA is coordinated or practiced.
  3. Refrain from directing tourists, directly or through intermediaries, to establishments or locations where ESCNNA is practiced, including accommodations like ships at sea, for ESCNNA purposes.
  4. Refrain from providing vehicles for tourist routes for the purpose of sexual exploitation or abuse of children and adolescents (ESCNNA).
  5. Prevent the entry of children and adolescents into hotels or accommodation establishments, bars, similar businesses, and other places offering tourism services, for exploitation or sexual abuse purposes. NOTE: When entering with a minor, the relationship must be verified through legal documents such as a birth certificate.
  6. Adopt measures to prevent employees, in any capacity with the company, from offering tourist services that facilitate sexual activity with children and adolescents.
  7. Report to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism and other competent authorities any known incidents or existence of places related to ESCNNA and ensure that there are internal channels for reporting to the relevant authorities.
  8. Develop and disseminate within the company and with its suppliers of goods and services, a policy that establishes measures to prevent and counteract all forms of ESCNNA in travel and tourism.
  9. Train all staff on the prevention of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESCNNA).
  10. Inform users about the legal consequences in Colombia for the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
  11. Display this Code of Conduct and any other commitments and measures the provider wishes to adopt to protect children and adolescents, in a visible location for employees.

If you (guests, clients, or suppliers) observe any actions indicating the exploitation or sexual abuse of minors, please immediately contact any of our contact points: +57 321 8306456 / stefany@everyplace.co. It is a duty to report any situation that may be related to such acts.
